Accountability, Trauma and Social Justice On and Off the Mat
Limited Capacity seats available

Join Seane for a candid discussion on what it means to be an advocate for social change from the inside out, our role as conscious leaders and how to enable a community that is inclusive and accessible to all. Yoga is a practice of making the unconscious conscious, it is a practice of investigating the lost, disconnected, stuck and defended parts of us. It is a practice of compassion. Because stress and trauma live in the body, the yoga practice is a perfect opportunity to confront and change some of the patterns that keep us stuck and suffering. When we change on an individual level, we are changing the collective level. If you’re interested in seeing the world become a better place, curious about how to contribute or overwhelmed by the state of the world, join us for a conversation that will shed some light, offer guidance, and ultimately inspire you to be the change you wish to see.

The Power of Perception
Limited Capacity seats available

Josh Dueck - Father, Husband, Paralympian, Skier and Pioneer; will speak on his transformational experiences though life, sport and inexplicable trauma. Fuelled by a passion for the mountains and a love for sport; the story of Josh Dueck is the one of triumph through tragedy.  After a spinal cord injury left him paralyzed from the waist down, it was the power of a community and an unbreakable spirit that elevated Josh to new heights, opening the door to a world of incredible possibilities.

Roy Tuscany - Originally from the small state of Vermont, through trials and tribulations has found his calling through the "Power of a High Five". A once aspiring professional skier that was cut down early in his career from a devastating crash that left him partially paralyzed from the waist down, found that through community and handing out High Fives, he could over come any obstacle put in his path while finding the meaning of paying it forward.
In this talk, Josh will share with you some of the values, ideas and lessons used to embrace the challenges we face, to draw energy from them to enhance our personal experience and elevate our levels of awareness. Roy will tell you how he created a successful non-profit called High Fives Foundation, that supports the dreams of mountain action sports athletes through injury prevention awareness while providing inspiration and resources to those that suffer life-altering injuries.

This talk will focus on the birth of the High Five, community, and how the Foundation has supported athletes through the recovery process.  A true storytelling approach on how to overcome defeat and rise above, this is for all that want to live inspired and find the true secret to the High Five. Whether you are a healer, teacher, athlete or an avid fan of stories you will benefit from, and enjoy the stories being shared.  This is a truly an interactive experience.
