Yoga is one of the six schools of classical Indian philosophy. In this workshop we will discuss the philosophical foundation, worldview, and principles upon which the practice is grounded in its historical context. The techniques of asana and pranayama are not merely preparatory practices but they are part of the path of yoga. We will explore how through a directed practice of asana and pranayama, transformation, a deeper understanding of the nature of reality and the ultimate goals of yoga can be reached.
