Low back pain is the most common reason for a trip to the doctor and can be helped or hurt in our yoga practice. Whether you personally struggle with back pain or work with students or patients that struggle with back pain, this class will help you understand the anatomy and the use of a yoga practice to support it. We will look at the different approaches to working with low back pain using an anatomical awareness to deepen the yoga practice. By understanding the anatomy you can see how different types of back pain need very different practices. This class with be part lecture and part interactive practice; great for beginners, those with low back pain, and essential for teachers wanting to work one on one. Please bring a block, a strap, and something to take notes on. Open to all levels.
